Here's the latest.....
It sure hs been a hot summer so far. That didn't keep us off the dance floor though. We've had a lot of fun and there is still more to come. We're all looking forward to the upcoming fall weather and the theme dances that go along with it. Keep reading to see what I mean.
At our next dance, we once again, celebrate the joys of ballroom dancing at our Annual "National Ballroom Dance Week" dance on September 19th. Then starting in October we go back to our regular schedule of two dances a month. On October 3rd, we will be celebrating those born in this month at our "Birthday" dance. Next, it's time to play dress up at our Annual "Costume Ball" on October 17th. Get in the Halloween Spirit by wearing a costume. Not into costumes, wearing Black, Orange or a combination thereof will do the trick.
We sure went all out at our "Hawaiian Luau" dance The dance floor was alive with tropical attire, including colorful leis. We also enjoyed pineapple upside down cake in honor of our August babies. The American "spirit" was alive and well at our Red, White & Blue dance. The floor was awash with the colors and we enjoyed Apple pie in celebration. There was great food and lots of black and white attire as we celebrated our 26th year of dancing as a Chapter in June. It was a fun and elegant evening. We honored the Kentucky Derby at our May Birthday dance with several ladies wearing hats and fascinators. Then we went just a little bit "wild" at our "Safari Adventure Ball." There were many "animal print" outfits in keeping with the animal spirit of the evening. March and April put a "spring" in our steps. From birthdays to energetic swing dances, it was a season of good times on the dance floor. We even kicked up our heels at our country dance.
Be sure to check back here often so you can read about and see photos (scroll down to see what I mean) of all the fun we have been having. It is also the place to learn about special events and other dancing opportunities in our area as they develop. Since things can change at any time, be sure to double check that an event is going to happen before making the trip.
